Intellectual Property Policy

Intellectual Property Policy (hereinafter - IPP) outlines the responsibilities and rights of registered and non-registered users (hereinafter - User) of MakerTech services concerning the intellectual property of Users and MakerTech. This document is an essential contract between MakerTech and Users, and as such, we have tried to make it as straightforward as possible. Therefore, we have provided short non-binding summaries with each clause in addition to the full legal terms and text.

General

When the User uses MakerTech, The User agrees to IPP, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.

Except as additional terms and conditions may supplement them, policies, guidelines, or standards, this IPP constitutes the entire Agreement between MakerTech and User about the subject matter hereof and supersedes any prior oral or written understandings or agreements between MakerTech and User concerning the access to and use of the MakerTech.

MakerTech respects intellectual property rights and MakerTech expects people using MakerTech to do the same. Therefore, in appropriate circumstances and at MakerTech discretion, it is MakerTech practice to terminate the accounts of Users who infringe intellectual property rights of others.

A User selling counterfeit goods through MakerTech may be held liable for selling counterfeit products if such User has reason to know that the products are counterfeit.

MakerTech allows Users to upload content to create User Products to sell. Users alone are solely responsible for such User’s Content. However, at our sole discretion, MakerTech retains the right to reject the production of User products that contain content that we have reason to believe may be infringing copyrights.

MakerTech reserves the right to disable any listing, shop, or account that MakerTech believes violates MakerTech Terms of Service, including this IPP.

MakerTech can’t speak on behalf of intellectual property owners, nor is MakerTech in a position to offer legal advice or make legal determinations whether a shop’s content infringes someone else’s intellectual property.

By uploading content on the MakerTech, Users represent and warrant that:

  1. The User either own the content posted on or through the MakerTech or that User otherwise has the legal right and authority to use posted content;
  2. the posting and use of User content on or through the MakerTech does not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any intellectual property rights;
  3. User agrees to pay for all royalties, any other fees owed through use of User Content on the MakerTech; and
  4. MakerTech has the legal right and capacity to enter into this Agreement.
